UK EPC CASE STUDY - How we improved their business

When UK EPC approached us they were a small start up business who required a web presence to capture their online market. We designed their website from scratch with epc market in mind and planned an approach to reaching the top of Google for their most competetive term 'epc'. Once they were happy with our design drafts we implemented it with a unique idea for adding unique content to the site daily.This idea was a rotating content page generator that would display random but relevant content for each page. 2500 pages later and some hard graft we hit the first page of google within 3 months. Then in the fourth month position 1 was smashed!

Work overload

The orders came in that fast from being #1 for the term 'epc' that the admin staff were rushed of their feet. Only using excel and paper they had to organise over 25 call outs per day. This is when they turned to us for a solution to handle the large administration tasks. We were commissioned to develop an admin portal that would handle each web request and take the workload off repetitive tasks. The system grew from being able to partly process requests with by pre form filling and emailing documentation to a fully auto application with an easy to use bidding system.

Each important step required to fulfill an epc request has been streamlined in to an automated or semi automated process. Using only paper and Excel, staff would take 10-15 mins to find a qualified worker nearby to the epc request, but now the system automates finding the inspector through a bidding / emailing system. The hours saved has meant less staff and more money.

The front and back end of UK EPC was developed in house at Brown Bison. This system uses Geo postcode technology and deals with; invoicing, emailing, book keeping,payments, outsourcing, VIP client requests and much more. The booking system has been built with the future in mind so as new requirements evolve we are ready to easily implement the tools required to keep ahead of the competition.

  • step 1, Website visitor enters postcode and number of bedrooms.
  • step 2, customer is given 3 prices depending on service required.
  • step 3, customer pays and the order details are sent out to local qualified inspectors for bidding.
  • step 4, the instruction is emailed to the lowest inspector. They will carry out the EPC within the required time frame.
  • step 5, the inspector uploads the epc certificate to the system which is then automatically sent to the client.
  • step 6, the inspector is paid and return time is logged with any detailed required information
